Helical Plc have secured a new leisure occupier at 35 Dale St, leaving just 6,000 sq ft of retail space left to let in the building.
Idle Hands have agreed a 15 year lease for their new 1200 sq ft coffee shop, managing to retain their much-desired Northern Quarter location following a terminated lease at their previous site just down the road.
‘Its been a huge relief to finally settle into our permanent home. The building itself is beautiful and Helical have been a pleasure to work with,’ says Dave Wolinski, owner of Idle Hands.
‘The coffee will continue to be front and centre in the new shop, but we will be expanding our food and drink offering now that we have a proper kitchen and have been granted a Premises License,’ continues Wolinski, ‘and we also have plans to host exhibitions, launch nights and supper clubs in future.’
An extensive refurb has transformed our grade-II listed building into an attractive location for workspace and leisure space alike, and the recent flurry of deals is evidence that our blend of character and modern amenities appeals to today’s businesses.
‘It’s been a busy few months at 35 Dale St and it’s great to announce our latest occupier,’ says Will Parry, Asset Management Executive at Helical Plc., ‘Idle Hands contributes to the excellent independent offering that the Northern Quarter prides itself on and we’re looking forward to leasing the final vacant unit to a business of equal calibre.’
As a result of the new deals, our building is now 85 per cent let ahead of practical completion of full refurbishment.
